Who we are
Consultative and Research Center on Natural Resource Management (CORENARM) was established according to Decision 128/QD-LHH dated on 21 October 2005 by Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thua Thien Hue province (HUSTA).This is a non-profit organization of Vietnam...

       CORENARM have been founded by young, enthusiastic and capability founders in order to implement and organize natural resource management related activities integrated with other community development programmes. Our Founders are:
       -    We are young and enthusiastic with working in natural resources management and community development. All members are willing to transfer their experience and knowledge on Natural resource management and community development to local people and local staff in order to improve efficiency of current management patterns of natural resources (state, community, household, or specializing organizations).
       -    Graduating from agro-forestry and agricultural economics, they are highly specialized in specific area of activities. Especially, some members have finished their higher education in M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Natural Resources Management or Community Development.
       -    We are in such positions that are important for activities on Natural resource management and community development such as government officer specializing in natural resources and agriculture, university lecturer, officers of rural and mountainous area development project.
       -    Being from rural area and experienced with natural resource utilization for a long time, they acquire good knowledge on characteristics and values of these natural resources to rural communities. Besides, all of them used to work in Natural resource management, community development, and rural development from three to seven years.
Vision
       To become a leading consultative and research center on natural resource management, environment and sustainable development in Southeast Asia.
Mission
       To contributes to management of natural resources and environment and in line with sustainable livelihood improvement strategy through highly quality research and advisory services.

  Approach
       a. Strengthen practical knowledge and experience for local staff through collaborative research.
       b. Integrate applied research in natural resources management at local level in order to increase management effectiveness in both professional and social manner.
       c. Provide two-way consultancy for both local organizations and donors on information related to Natural resource management and community development in order to mobilize all investment resources (project, program) to support local people in implementing and improving management capacity for all activities related to natural resources management and community development.
