After nearly two years of implementation from September 2008 to August 2010, the project "Local livelihoods improvement through sustainable land use system at Phu Mau village, Huong Phu Commune, Nam Dong District, Thua Thien Hue province", sponsored by the IUCN is on the end.
Flood more serious in HCM City due to ineffective development plan (05-29-2010)
Instead of developing the city to the East-Northeastern direction, with its higher topography, HCM City chose the opposite direction. Many new residential areas have been built in southern Nha Be area, where there were reservoirs in the past. As a result, flooding in Saigon is getting more serious.
